Marina Del Rey

Bryan bought a flight to L.A. and reserved a hotel room at Marina Del Rey for me for Christmas.  It was the best present ever ever ever.  I love alone time, and I love alone trips.  I've been doing an alone trip once a year since Jessie was born.  I've done an overnighter in San Francisco (free corner suite at the JW), Washington D.C. for my brothers wedding (It was with other people, but without the cuddlebug, so it was a nice break), and Palm Springs (I came back tan).  I consider myself to be an intense introvert, so alone trips are never lonely or boring for me.  Quite the opposite.  I find them to be very fun and peaceful.

I rode the new FrontRunner train and took a bus transfer to the airport.  FrontRunner is great and I'm so glad that Utah has a commuter train now.  I had lots of fun reading, eating, and watching TV alone.  I walked along the the Venice Canals twice and took lots of photos.
    

I walked down Abbot Kinney Boulevard and ate salad pizza at Abbot's Pizza and tried chocolate sorbet at N'iceCream.

The first time I went to Venice Beach it reminded me of San Francisco.  The lovely fog came in.

On my 2nd day at the beach I walked from Venice Fishing Pier to the Santa Monica Pier and back in bare feet.
